ARE YOU READY FOR AN OLD-TYME HORSE SHOW???? … When we used to compete for fun, without having to mortgage the house!

Back in the old days we went to horse shows for a day of competition and fun, without the huge overhead of multiple memberships, levies, passports & licenses. Today, many, if not most, compete for fun, for the social, to see where you are at in your training. Most do not compete to qualify for championships (held at great distances/expense away) nor for National year-end awards. Those are very nice to win, but the road to them can be expensive. More and more talk has been heard of the expense of the memberships/licenses required to compete, and coaches want to coach their students without having to pay for that right.

We have listened… This is where this show comes in.

On August 8, we are offering a Schooling Show with Dressage Classes for all levels, and Hunter Divisions for the starting-out riders.

A Salute to our Horse Show Volunteers

During the 2018 Equestrian Canada (EC) Awards Reception, where the achievements of Equestrians, Organizations and Horses are honoured, Centaur’s team of horse show volunteers, “The Red Team”, was presented with the Volunteer Award of the Year.

This award was created in 1998 to recognize the tireless volunteers who have selflessly contributed to the advancement of equine and equestrian interests in Canada. This award is an acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication of individuals who so generously give their time in order to support the goals and vision of EC. The Centaur Red Team has certainly done this. Over the years, since CRS’ start in 1973, volunteers have donated over 95,000 hours to 440 competitions helping to make competition a reality for thousands of dressage athletes.
