Centaur Riding School offers four different riding camps for you to choose from. A Summer Camp (ages 7 and up), a Mini-Equestrian Camp (ages 3 to 8), an Advanced Rider Training Camp and a March Break Camp. For more information on our riding camps – read on.

About Our Daycamps

Advanced Rider Training Camp

A special Horse Show Training Camp is offered yearly. This Camp covers all the necessary topics to prepare the new competitor. Students are taught in great detail how to present themselves in competition.

Dressage Lessons

Dressage lessons will focus on test riding.

Equitation Classes

How to compete in Equitation Classes in both dressage and hunter, and on the flat and over fences.

Jumping Lessons

Theory Classes

How both rider and horse need to be prepared for a riding exam or competition. We will also cover the ins and outs of all the memberships and paperwork necessary for different types of completion or Rider Level exams. These classes will be scheduled at the end of the day so parents can attend.

Horse Care

Riders will all be given ample opportunities to be involved in the day’s barn activities – feeding, turn out, etc.

Registration is Limited: Minimum requirement: Must have competed or have minimum RL-2

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Two Days Only)

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp is for children 7 years and up. All activities are horse related and no prior riding experience is necessary. Riding groups are kept small.

Riding Demonstration

Riding Demonstration for Parents & Family is planned for last day, ending with an informal pot-luck picnic.

Ages: 7 and up

Hours: 9:00am – 4:00pm
(Children may be dropped off earlier and picked up later if needed.)

Mini Equestrians Camp

This camp is an introduction to the world of horses and riding. Your child will learn the basics of horse handling, grooming and riding in a fun and safe atmosphere.

For Children & Parents Alike

An introduction to the world of horses and riding. Children will learn the basics of horse handling, grooming and riding in a fun and safe atmosphere. Parents will join their child in learning the instable basics. Parents will learn how to properly lead the ponies/ horses while their child learns to ride. (Adult must wear closed footwear). If a partner is not available for child, we will find one – let us know on the application.

Picnic Lunch

More Info

A great experience to create a unique interaction between children, their parents and horses. The a start of a life-long love-affair with horses. At noon we will have a picnic lunch under the trees.

Ages: 3 to 8

Hours: 9:00am – 12:00pm

March Break Camp
